We are looking for a number of full-time permanent Teaching Assistants to join us at GMA, with vacancies across all of our sites.

Pay Grade; FTE £18,933 – £19,698 / Actual Salary £14,273 – £14,996

Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year including 5 INSET / Training Days

Update on school closure;

This weekend, King Charles III approved an order for the Queen’s funeral to be a bank holiday, as he was formally declared head of state.

In an email to all schools, the Department for Education has said: “The official date of the State Funeral is 19 September 2022.  This day will be a bank holiday and settings that are normally closed on a bank holiday should close on this day as a mark of respect. This will include schools and colleges.”

The DfE added that for schools normal attendance is expected throughout the national mourning period, other than the bank holiday. The bank holiday will mark the end of the mourning period.

All of us at Green Meadows Academy wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family at this time.

Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II reigned with dignity, wisdom and was a beacon of stability, may she rest in peace.

End of Year Letter GH

Ahead of the forecasted heatwave for next week, we have written a letter highlighting some information and advice around how we plan to manage the heat in school and to request your help with a few points in order to keep all students as comfortable and safe as possible during the heatwave.

The letter has been emailed home, but can also be found in the Parents & Carers – Letters Home section of our website.

This year, due to an increase in pupil numbers we are going to hold separate events for our primary and secondary schools.  This will mean that we will hold four productions, and that way more of you can come and enjoy the music, dancing and performances!
