GMA Primary – Update

Unfortunately we have had to take the decision to close the primary site for the rest of this week.  I’m sure that you will appreciate how important the health and safety of our school community is, and we apologise that we find ourselves in this position.  The class teachers will be in contact with you today, and they will be supplying and setting tasks for the children to complete at home, as appropriate.  School will reopen for your children on Monday 4th October – and should there be any change of plans we will of course inform you.

GMA Primary – Continued Closure

Following a further inspection and assessment of the damage to our school sustained as a result of the recent water ingress we have taken the very difficult decision to remain closed to all pupils at GMA Primary on Wednesday 29th September.  Further updates will be communicated to parents and carers as soon as we can.  Teachers will be in touch with all families and there will be remote learning in place for pupils to complete at home.  Once again, our apologies.

GMA Primary – Flood Damage

Due to the heavy rainfall combined with the fact that we are having a new roof fitted, there has been substantial flooding and damage to our primary school.  Our primary school, on Bradford Road, will be closed today (27/09) and also tomorrow (28/09).  We will be in touch with families on Tuesday 28th with a further update.  Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Training Days – September 2021

We are having extensive building work over the summer months following a significant investment in our schools by Wellspring.  Our teaching staff will not be able to access the school building until very late in the holidays in order to plan and prep their classrooms.  As a result we will taking Monday 6th September as a Closure Day, and staff will take this time to get ready for the forthcoming academic year.

Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th September will be INSET Days for staff training, and the school will continue to be closed for all pupils – including our partnership sites.

All pupils, across all sites, will return on Thursday 9th September.
