Allerton High Partnership Base – Meet the Teacher!
To our parents and carers of pupils in our AHS Partnership Base;

To our parents and carers of pupils in our AHS Partnership Base;
The warm weather has arrived!
On hot days we can’t offer the protection of shade to every child so it is incredibly important that children bring their school hats in to school every day. We also ask that all children wear sun cream to school which is applied before they arrive in the morning as this offers protection during the school day.
Our main aim is to educate our pupils about sun safety and recognising other ways to stay safe, for example, hats (ideally with long neck coverings), water bottles and staying in the shade.
Please see the letter below, regarding the use of suncream over the next half-term.
This coming Friday we will be celebrating Comic Relief across all of our sites.
Pupils (and staff!) are encouraged to wear red clothing (and a red nose!) to mark the day, and if possible to bring in a £1 donation for charity.
We will also be holding a ‘Games & Toy Bring & Buy Sale’ so if you have any toys that your child no longer plays with or wants that you think other children might benefit from then please send them in!
All GMA sites are closed today, Friday 10th March, due to the extreme weather conditions and heavy snowfall.
Our next Parent / Carer Consultation Evening is on Wednesday 22nd March.
The Class Teacher will contact you by telephone to agree a time slot in which to meet you. The event will be happening at all of our sites on the same day, so please speak to the teacher to book your appointment.
All GMA sites will be closed from 1.30pm on Thursday 9th March due to the heavy snowfall. The snow is forecast to continue into the evening and we want to ensure that pupils and staff can all get home safely.
We will make a decision about tomorrow first thing in the morning – weather dependent.
As part of GMA’s partnership with parents we would like to invite all parents from GMA and partnership sites to come to a coffee morning, 8th February, 10am at GM Primary Hall.
There will be members of the Pastoral Team and SLT there to speak to as well as the opportunity to meet new parents and share your knowledge/experiences/advice with others.
There will be refreshments provided.
Please let us know if you can attend by emailing Jade Fisher on jade.fisher@greenmeadows.org.uk
We look forward to seeing and continuing to support you and your family.
Please find below a letter from our CEO, Mark Wilson, to parents and carers regarding forthcoming industrial action as announced yesterday. 16th January 2023.
We will continue to keep you informed of our contingency plans and arrangements as we move closer to the time.
You may have seen in the media that seasonal flu and COVID are currently circulating at high levels and that these numbers are likely to increase in the coming weeks.
We ask therefore, if your child is unwell and has a fever, that you keep them at home and not send them into school until they feel better and their temperature returns to normal.
We thank you for your support in this which will help stop the spread of these viruses and protect the whole school community.
We look forward to welcoming as many of our parents. carers, families and friends to our festive events later this month.
The Primary Performance will take place on Tuesday 13th December at 10.30am, at GMA Primary, Bradford Road, Guiseley.
For our secondary school pupils the performance is on Thursday 15th December at 10.30am, at GMA Secondary, Back Lane, Guiseley.
Both performances will be followed by mince pies and hot drinks and the opportunity to browse some stalls and meet (the real) Santa at our Christmas Fair.
On Friday 16th December, the last day of term, we have the return of our fabulous Christmas Carols at St Oswald’s Church, Guiseley. After the enforced break due to COVID19 Father David Pickett will welcome you all back to one of the most special days in our school calendar – don’t miss it! It starts at 10.30am and will feature carols, Christingle, readings and a nativity performance by some of our youngest primary pupils. There won’t be a dry eye in the house!
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at one or all of our Christmas events.
